About Carrie Ballas
Carrie Ballas is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing integrative, functional medicine for over 17 years. She owns Boulder Integrative Health, a private practice in Boulder, Colorado. Carrie values a collaborative relationship with her patients, guiding them to take an active role in optimizing their health. She seeks to identify the root causes of disease and dysfunction, going beyond merely addressing symptoms. Carrie combines conventional and natural medicine, with a focus on holistic modalities, proactive prevention, comprehensive diagnosis, and treatment. She utilizes advanced education with the A4M (American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine) to help find imbalances and help patients restore those imbalances. She completed her Fellowship in Metabolic Nutritional Medicine with the American Academy of Anti-Aging (A4M); and Metabolic Medical Institute (MMI), where she continues ongoing education. Carrie incorporates lifestyle education, diet, nutraceutical supplementation, and detoxification methods into her patient's treatment plans. She also offers medical-grade IV Nutrient Therapy at IV Boulder, which is operated within Boulder Integrative Health. She believes IV therapy provides 100% absorption of nutrients, taking healing transformation to a whole new level. Carrie works primarily with women to help guide them in finding balance in their health and lives. She finds many clients have Adrenal Dysfunction as a result of ongoing stress, which then greatly affects their sex hormones and leads to unwanted symptoms of hormone dysfunction. She also specializes in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, menopause, age-related hormone changes in men, thyroid conditions, adrenal issues, and gastrointestinal problems.
