About April Lenker, AGNP-BC, CFMP
April Lenker is an AGNP-BC, CFMP (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Board Certified, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner) who joined Carolina Holistic Medicine in March 2026. She combines her traditional medicine background with advanced functional diagnostic testing to identify the root causes of dysfunctions within the body. April transitioned to functional medicine after witnessing her husband's dramatic health turnaround through this approach. Prior to functional medicine, April worked in oncology and regenerative medicine. April received her Master of Science in Nursing from UNC Chapel Hill in 2014 and worked as a nurse practitioner with UNC Rex Cancer Center. She has a background in oncology, regenerative medicine, and functional medicine. She sees patients in person at the Mt. Pleasant office and via Telemedicine. Carolina Holistic Medicine focuses on restoring health and wellness through predictive testing, energy medicine, proper nutrition, and hormone balance. They offer customized natural hormone replacement therapy and other anti-aging medical and lifestyle treatments. They aim to depart from "disease chasing" with prescriptions, taking a higher path to maintain wellness. April is part of the Priority Health Academy, working towards certification with PHA.
