About Angela Hedges
Angela Hedges is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with over two decades of experience in nursing. Her background includes critical care, emergency and flight nursing, and clinical instruction. She is the founder of Innovaire Primary Health in Burlington, IA, a private practice that opened in late 2024. Innovaire focuses on patient-centered, innovative, and holistic care, aiming for long-term wellness solutions. Hedges combines modern medical practices with holistic approaches, integrating Eastern and Western medicine to cater to a wide range of patients. She emphasizes knowing her patients well to provide accurate and helpful treatment, drawing inspiration from her mentor, Dr. JoEllen Hoth. At Innovaire Primary Health, Angela Hedges offers a range of services including primary care for women, men and children, weight loss programs, hormone therapy, and allergy and asthma treatments. She also specializes in integrative and preventative care, hormone replacement therapy, performance medicine, and weight loss. Her goal is to empower patients with knowledge about their health so they can make informed decisions and achieve lasting improvements in their quality of life. Hedges is a West Burlington High School graduate and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Clarke University. She previously worked at Great River Health and as a traveling nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also serves as the Medical Director at Mission Medical Spa in Burlington, IA. Innovaire Primary Health does not accept Medicare or Medicaid due to low reimbursement rates for small businesses. The practice focuses on improving overall wellness to reduce the frequency of doctor visits.
