About Amy Wagoner
Dr. Amy Wagoner is a Family Medicine physician in Watertown, SD, who takes a functional medicine approach to patient care. She knew from a young age that she wanted to become a doctor and is from a small South Dakota farming community. Dr. Wagoner realized the benefits of functional medicine in 2014 and became a Certified Practitioner from the Institute for Functional Medicine in 2018. She works diligently to teach her patients about the benefits of functional medicine and helps them find options to improve their wellness using proven techniques and strategies. Dr. Wagoner sees patients of all ages and is committed to their care and well-being. She realized that medications and traditional medicine do not always have all of the answers to resolve an issue. She looks at the body as one whole system rather than just individual parts. Dr. Wagoner empowers patients to transform from chronic illness to thriving wellness. The first onsite clinic visit is 90-120 minutes to review your current healthcare situation. Most follow-up appointments are 45-60 minutes unless you request more time. Dr. Wagoner completed her undergraduate coursework at the University of Illinois and the University of Utah. She graduated cum laude from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine in 1997 with a Medical Degree. Dr. Wagoner completed her residency training at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Family Medicine Residency Program and became Board Certified in Family Medicine in 2000.
